Monthly archives: January 2009. Pitcher News; I Dump My Tickets. By Mark T.R. Donohue. The only five teams that matter are on ESPN constantly anyway. League Pass seems to present me with at least one and often two games I want to watch every night. Baseball? What's the point any more? To see the guys the Yankees are going to overpay in three years' time today? How good was Holliday last year? How on earth could that happen? I guess Huston Street's around. I keep forgetting about that. Even though...Thank...

Losing Our Screenwriting Cherry: Script Frenzy Update 3
http://polycinematic.blogspot.com/2009/04/script-frenzy-update-3.html
Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Script Frenzy Update 3. Here is the first follow up on my weekly updates. I almost didn't make it. The page count for this week is, wait for it. Yeah, we worked on the script this week, but we didn't have very much time. Mostly we took what we had written already and made it make sense. Which is important. Next time we will add to the script. Overall it's been very productive writing. That's it for now. See you next Wednesday. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Losing Our Screenwriting Cherry: April 2009
http://polycinematic.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2009. Script Frenzy Update 5. It's late Wednesday night (early Thursday morning) so it must be time for an update. Not enough good news you say? And there's more to be excited about. Jessie and I (mostly Jessie) came up with an interesting and clever way to do some marketing for our movie. If done right, it will be incredibly subtle and be drawn out over a couple years. I don't want to say exactly what it is right now, but we will be revealing it to our loyal followers soon. Yeah, we ...

Losing Our Screenwriting Cherry: March 2009
http://polycinematic.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 20, 2009. I promise Jason and I are communicating just fine. I'm worried that I'm having trouble explaining to people how awesome our movie is going to be. Whenever we tell people we're writing a movie, they ask us something along the lines of, "What's it about? I have trouble deciding how to answer this question. "It's a romantic comedy about indie 20-somethings living in Boulder. And there are poly people! Doesn't really do it justice. Tuesday, March 10, 2009. The Storm After The Calm.

Where I'll Write A Thing Or Two About A Thing Or Two. Thursday, July 23, 2009. Whirlwind, Part Five. Continued from Whirlwind, Part Four). One night, Stacie came over after serving drinks at a local mixed martial arts event. She had on an little black dress and a pair of disconcerting fake eyelashes. She was tired and hungry and came equipped with the remnants of some sort of chicken dish. She picked at her food and told me tales of working at such an unusual venue. She was still in a daze when we got to...

Royal Ruminations: I Lost Myself
http://royalrum.blogspot.com/2009/09/i-lost-myself.html
Where I'll Write A Thing Or Two About A Thing Or Two. Friday, September 04, 2009. Slightly behind her and to her left stands a man, maybe a few years older than the woman. He is inanimate, not appearing to move in any way, not even the gentle rise and fall of breathing shoulders. His face looks like it just rolled off a mannequin production line, completely neutral. He stares ahead into a distance only he can see. I want you to set my baby free…. She moves to him and presses close. She takes his left...
