And then we'd play with flashlight beams and strings, then we'd cuddle on the couch together while watching What Not to Wear on TLC. I'm just messing around, I think life would get depressing like that after a while, even with a cat.haha. I really do love being a homemaker though. :). Hey libby. your blog colors are very "fall-y"! On Mexico Opening Up Oil Sector To International Investors. Quote Of The Day ». The Crime Problem In Venezuela. In Hispanics (Minority Issues). None of this, of course, comes as a surprise to right-wingers. Such numbers make the socialist-led country the third most dangerous nation, after El Salvador and Honduras. By comparison, the 2012 homicide rate in the U.S., the world’s bastion of capitalism, stood at 4.7 homicides per 100,000. And that was considered high among rich countries. Feed for this Entry.

The GM Recall Record ». Global Warming Slows As Carbon Dioxide Rose. BETWEEN 1998 and 2013, the Earth’s surface temperature rose at a rate of 0.04 C a decade, far slower than the 0.18 C increase in the 1990s. Meanwhile, emissions of carbon dioxide (which would be expected to push temperatures up) rose uninterruptedly. Then proceeds to offer a bunch of after the fact explanations but I wonder what environmental model predicted this, a priori? Economist Bryan Caplan has more here. Feed for this Entry.

So even though singing those...

Professor Mark J. Perry's Blog for Economics and Finance. Thursday, September 20, 2012. Quotation of the Day: The Fallacy of Redistribution. From Thomas Sowell's column today. The history of the 20th century is full of examples of countries that set out to redistribute wealth and ended up redistributing poverty. The communist nations were a classic example, but by no means the only example. How can that be? Farmers in the Soviet Union cut back on how much time and effort they invested in growing their cr...
