Biking through Europe while having as much fun as possible. Thursday, July 31, 2008. Here is the old town, situated between a valley and the newer part of Matera:. The walkways were all very narrow, with eneven and steep steps. Believe it or not, people still live here, and seem quite happy to do so as they are proud of the fact that they live in the same houses as their ancesters from hundreds of years ago. Ah you made the pilgrimage to roman History ;-). You're getting home soon eh?

Biking through Europe while having as much fun as possible. Thursday, February 12, 2009. We lucked out in Hamburg by having the best personal tour guide we could have asked for - my cousin Kathi! She had spent some time living there while doing an architecture internship, so she knew all the ins and outs of the city! It was great, especially since she knew the perfect place to start. We climbed up to the very top of a clock tower in one of the churches there and the view was fabulous!

If I can find some other ways I have some nice ones of us enjoying some of the true Guinness and yes it does taste better here. Well that is all for now. Next it is off to Prague. We made it to the watery town of Venice and here is the clasic picture of the gondolas getting ready to taxi all the tourists around the town. For some odd reason people love to have dirty pigions walk all over them in San Marco Square. Oh well to each their own (Michelle this one is for you). Also for all the James Bond fans out there, none of the gondolas turned into hovercrafts and drove across the square.
