This Journal was created to follow Natalie and Nicks adventure around Asia & Europe. First we were backpacking, then we ditched the packs, purchased two bicycles and tested our cycling legs. After riding 8000km we were a tad exhausted, so the bikes went home and we headed off for the last few months of our trip. Now we are back home in NZ and are off to cycle the south island of NZ, late 2008!

Wednesday, November 26, 2008. So for most of the year, we were often distracted from our work by planning our forthcoming tour. We learnt alot about cycle touring on our last tour, both about equipment requirements and also the style we like to travel in. Sunday, July 29, 2007. Still alive (24th July 07). Sorry for the slackness of updating the blog recently. Things have been busier in Europe than our slow-paced Asia travel. Just spent a fantastic 3 weeks with Nicks family travelling around Italy and France. We are currently in Switzerland and having a great time cycling around a very cycle friendly country. Sunday, January 6, 2008. Bon Voyage India (3rd - 5th Jan 08). After 6 weeks in India the end has arrived. But these kids where so smart and curious, asking us currencies of the world and recommending places for us to eat in Mumbai. Tuesday, October 30, 2007. Rome and arrivederci Italia (14th - 23rd Oct 07). Rugged up at the Roman Forum. Sistine Chapel- A photo doesnt quite do it justice. Rome overall had a great feel to it. While there were lots of tourists with maps, the local people were very welcoming. It was nice just wandering the streets and people watching. Loved Rome and will definately be back.
