The Engineer on Wheels: July 2009
http://engineeronwheels.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
The Engineer on Wheels. Sunday, July 26, 2009. After seeing some friends who ride and seeing how relatively healthy they are, I decided to go the route of getting a bicycle. I searched around a bit and ended up going to Bike America and got a Trek 7.3 FX. Next I needed to give myself some reasons to ride the bike. First, I wanted to ride the bike to work and second, I wanted to shoot for the Bike MS. Also, about at this same time we had our first Bike to Church ride. See www.biketochurch.com. This was a ...

The Engineer on Wheels: Only 15 days until the ride
http://engineeronwheels.blogspot.com/2009/09/only-15-days-until-ride.html
The Engineer on Wheels. Friday, September 11, 2009. Only 15 days until the ride. We're only 15 days out from the ride now! I'm thankful for the donations that so many of you have given to the MS Society. You're making a really big difference for those who have Multiple Sclerosis. Tonight I picked up the rider packet at the VIP Check-in. I will be wearing bib # 52 this year because so many of you last year donated enough to put me in position 52! Just over a week ago we had the National Bike to Church Day.

The Engineer on Wheels: September 2009
http://engineeronwheels.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
The Engineer on Wheels. Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Last week was a great bicycling week/MS Ride in 3 days. On Saturday, I got up and rode the route for the Tour de BBQ. This was so I could get a feel for the ride. The actual event will happen October 3, 2009. It passes by a bunch of KC's BBQ restaurants and includes some BBQ along the way and definitely at the end (at the American Royal). But the biggest ride of the year is this weekend - the Bike MS ride! Friday, September 11, 2009. Just over a week...

The Engineer on Wheels: Bike to Church Day
http://engineeronwheels.blogspot.com/2009/08/bike-to-church-day.html
The Engineer on Wheels. Sunday, August 9, 2009. Bike to Church Day. This year has seen a number of bicycling activities. Most recently the Midnight Bike Ride. And the Cider Mill Century. I've done some of the MS Training Rides as well. Doing these group activities can be a real encouragement for riding. Next weekend I hope to make it to the Sunflowers to Roses. Sean Jackson, a friend from church, co-founded the Sunflowers to Roses. And has also helped Rick Gasaway. Do you want to be involved?
