Biking 'Cross the Country for Food Allergies

Biking 'Cross the Country for Food Allergies. Tuesday, February 10, 2009. I'm home from school sick today, and I remembered that I still have some days left. I'd pretty much forgot. August 9 Lincoln, NH to North Waterford, ME. I began to think of all the miles and days we had put in to get here. I remembered the people who had taken us in, and the cyclist we had met along the way. It all suddenly seemed much more monumental. My dad laughed giddily, "Jeez! I can't believe that hill! That's how my wife and...

Biking 'Cross the Country for Food Allergies: June 2008

http://bikingforallergies.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html

Biking 'Cross the Country for Food Allergies. Monday, June 30, 2008. Day 13, part 2. We left Whitefish a little after 1:00, and soon the temperature began to climb. After only a few miles, the heat started to get to dad and I; we began to wilt. (And this was only 80- ish. Degrees. how will we ever deal with the truly stifling. Days in Minnesota and Wisconsin? And soaked my bandana. The water helped, and the next miles, gravel road and all, passed relatively easily. We just happened to circumnavigate the.

Biking 'Cross the Country for Food Allergies. Monday, November 3, 2008. AUGUST 8 Sharon, VT to Lincoln, NH. The day began with another New England hill: short (well, relatively short at only four miles. looking back now when I'm not in shape, I doubt it would have seemed so short) but fairly steep. We crossed into New Hampshire late in the morning, then wove back into Vermont a few miles down the road for a second breakfast. After breakfast, we returned to New Hampshire, for good this time.

Biking 'Cross the Country for Food Allergies. Saturday, February 2, 2008. The Letters are Off! Swim team districts are next weekend; after that I will begin training for my monstrous ride this summer. Biking 'Cross the Country for Food Allergies: October 2008

http://bikingforallergies.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

Biking 'Cross the Country for Food Allergies. Sunday, October 5, 2008. AUGUST 7 Brandon to Sharon, VT. Michael said when he saw the increase. The last two miles of the climb were some of the steepest on the trip. I was in my lowest possible gear (which is lower than on most bikes) and I still had to stand in the pedals and hammer to get to the top (If only I knew about the hill that was yet to come! We should send Seth to ask at the church," Michael suggested, "He knows a lot about religion.". Well, we'r...

Cross America Bike Ride: June 2008

http://crossamericabikeride.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html

Cross America Bike Ride. Sunday, June 29, 2008. Williston, ND (2). Today we only biked 45 miles, a great break after the last, most challenging century we have had. We are staying with Leroy Anseth tonight, Dr. London Cooper's (a local dentist) father. We are currently at their house using their internet and about to enjoy a dinner with them. Black Bear (which I zipped within 5 feet of without knowing at 20mph before seeing it). Merlin (my dad is very excited about this). Friday, June 27, 2008. Tonight w...

Biking For a Cause

Yesterday around 4:30 I rolled into Brooklyn, New York; my home for the past 10 years. Everything appeared to be just how I left it back in late July, except for the street I live on. As I made the turn onto Huron Street, bagpipes and drums, cheers, hoots, hollers, bells, whistles, and confetti poppers all filled my ears. A huge “FINISH” banner stretched across the road held up by a hefty crowd of family and friends. It was, much like the rest of the tour, way above and beyond my wildest expectations.

Biking for Animals - 2013 bike tour to help save the lives of homeless pets

Welcome to Biking for Animals. My bike tour to help save the lives of homeless pets in the US has come to an end, but millions of perfectly healthy pets are still being killed in America every year at shelters that euthanize because of space or time limitations. We can all help to change the system by donating. To no-kill shelters and animal rescue groups, ADOPTING. And spaying and neutering. I've prepared a list of really important no-kill charities. That you can donate to!
