Biking With Brad: 30 days of biking: April 10th: A's birthday and a quick trip up to North Seattle
http://bikingwithbrad.blogspot.com/2012/04/30-days-of-biking-april-10th-as.html
Building a biking paradise, one pedal stroke at a time. Wednesday, April 11, 2012. 30 days of biking: April 10th: A's birthday and a quick trip up to North Seattle. Then we biked over for Pho which is the kids' favorite food that isn't completely filled with sugar and then up Dravus to Queen Anne pool for swimming. This is a very elated T rolling down the grassy knoll after a fun swim lesson. Got home by 4 and then I had to run up for some house call lessons. With a slight tailwind, I was able to get...

Building a biking paradise, one pedal stroke at a time. Wednesday, April 18, 2012. 30 days of biking: April 17th: Full day of activities. Sometimes I take the sidewalk on a big uphill. Whew! Dravus east of 15th West. We stopped for corn dogs at the Interbay QFC and then marched, or dragged the kids up Dravus and onto Queen Anne for swimming lessons. T schooled me at checkers and then we both helped somebody's younger brother get back into the game of a chess and then called in some really tasty pizza.

Building a biking paradise, one pedal stroke at a time. Thursday, April 5, 2012. 30 days of biking: April 4th: First Day to School. The kids have been getting off easy this year because I've taken over the teaching position of a friend who is on maternity leave. Therefore, to save a little bit of time and help Claire get the work done that she needs, I've been driving the kids to and from preschool. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Biking With Brad: 30 days of biking: April 12th: A day of driving with a quick spin to rehearsal
http://bikingwithbrad.blogspot.com/2012/04/30-days-of-biking-april-12th-day-of.html
Building a biking paradise, one pedal stroke at a time. Friday, April 13, 2012. 30 days of biking: April 12th: A day of driving with a quick spin to rehearsal. Had the kids from dawn to dusk. They were marvelous. We made it to school on time even though they woke up about an hour later than usual, we had a great playdate during the crummiest part of the day and the wind was powerful and cold but the kids did their extra Easter Egg Hunt at Golden Gardens and there you go. I went up to Santa Rosa (with Peter Rich, future inductee of U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame)and down to Sausalito, both quite rainy days, in order to witness the goings-on. Crowds like in Europe. Maybe this will be the beginning of something like the Tour de France. It was all very cool. About 48 degrees, and wettttttt. Jason Nune...
Veloquent: August 2008
http://veloquent.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Velocopedian Information and Inspiration. Tuesday, August 5, 2008. First one head, and then a few, lift and look for an odd new sound. Barely audible, is it danger? What is that continuous peeling of asphalt moving steady toward us? That’s no rancher. It’s stealthier. Be ready to flee. One by one, heads drop back down, tails flick flies, and the hot work of summer sustenance continues in the pasture. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Velocopedian Information and Inspiration. Sunday, December 27, 2009. Book Review: Off to the Races. I'm lucky enough to have good friends of the non-bikey persuasion who know me as a bike geek. One of those friends found a blast from my past at a garage sale in the form of the book Off to the Races. Written by Fred and Marjorie Phleger and illustrated by Leo Summers. And I've never heard of a rally like the one described ("wiggly board race", remember? Jason T. Nunemaker. I HAVE this book and love to sha...

Velocopedian Information and Inspiration. Saturday, June 6, 2009. As the weather finally warms up in the Pacific Northwest, I am finally past the worst of my allergy onslaught and am able to ride my bike more. And as my distances and the number of bike trips increase, I find myself wavering back and forth between two very distinct cycling states. . A regular person with no pretensions to athletic greatness, and no concern about it either. . The awful truth: I grew up in an extended family of . 160;and st...

Traversing North America by Bicycle. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Where Am I Now? Our loose talk about what to do ranged from bumming around Southeast Asia, to trekking around the Karakoram Mountains in Pakistan, to riding bikes from San Francisco down to LA.
