Elementary and Technology Musings. BP3 Stencyl and Xtranormal. In creating your own game, but don’t code? Check out Cassandra’s blog post on Stencyl. She says it is a great free program but a little tricky to use for us “non-coders”. However, not impossible, lots of tutorials and support, make it worth giving Stencyl a try. Elementary and Technology Musings. Week 4 – Reading Reflection. As I finish up the reading for this course, there were a couple of key points that made me sit up and take notice. First, this quote from Marianne Williamson that Nelson Mandela was reported as saying to the world:. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. You are...

Elementary and Technology Musings. Week 2 – Kathryn’s Post and My Comments. I remember standing in the rain one lovely day during basic training. My fatigues did little to stave off the bone chilling cold. I still see the face of the young white Drill Sergeant. The way his eyes moved across my platoon as we all stood at perfect attention, dreading the obstacle course ahead. We were exhausted, bruised, and hoping they would call off the drill due to bad weather. Week 2 – Leadership Post. You are commentin...

Elementary and Technology Musings. Week 2 – David’s Post and My Comments. This week we read the first four chapters in Rosamund Stone Zander and Benjamin Zander’s The Art of Possibility: Transforming Professional and Personal Life. These chapters got me thinking about the pressures that an average student feels from getting letter grades. Why try and fail when you don’t have to try and get the same results? What could I do to take the pressure off of these students? Week 3 Reading Reflection. Aug 23, 2013.
