This is our second FWC Hawk read about it here. So far we have taken several small trips and three big trips to the east coast and Minnesota . Sunday 3-8, Total miles 525 miles. Our daughter invited us to attend her PhD defense at Johns Hopkins. Sounded like a great reason for a road trip so off we go. Bill and Veronica's Trip Blog. Trip Reports in the Camper. Our New Camper, inside build. Monday, February 2, 2015. Decided a Thermal Pack would be our Xmas gift this year. There is a great thread on WTW "Building an Arctic - Cold Weather Pack". Thought about building one, but would need a new sewing machine. Also not sure I have the proper skills required, one O'shat and any money saved would be gone. So called FWC and ordered a thermal pack for our Hawk. Extra screws where the wires go up to the roof.

Did find a motorcycle show in Mulhouse France at Cite de L'Automobile. Not the Quail but a nice little show. Lots of bikes we do not see in the USA. Enjoy the pictures. Tuesday looked like a great day for a ride. I like riding on a weekday and not on the weekend now that I am retired. The coast looked nice but the Sierra Passes were all open. The Sierra wins; in two days they may be closed until next spring. As it is some the best in the Sierra. In Markleeville was over 80 eating outside.

Seven SMC club member and 4 riders from the Ports MC showed up for breakfast at the Black Bear in Tracy. It was 30 degrees leaving Stockton and warmed to the high 30's as we left Tracy. A perfect day for an old retired guy to take a ride. Sent out an email to a bunch of other old retired guys, four said let go! Our new friend from Petaluma at the Yosemite gate. The road over the pass could not have been cleaner. No sand anywhere as this road is closed all winter and only opens when the snow is cleared.
