Deb Fixes America: September 2009

Saturday, September 5, 2009. A Perspective On Canadian Health Care. To achieve that. If we naively believe one system can solve all our problems and preclude the need for the church to care for the health and well being of humanity, then we're simply finding our own way to abdicate our responsibility. We live in a town of 16,000 people. We have four general practitioners, one ob- gyn. Forget it. Poor? There is an 18 month wait in our town for carpal tunnel syndrome surgery. It is done the old fashion...

Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Obama's Dog, Shelters, and Pit Bulls. Well, on the news front the big thing now seems to be Bo, the Obama Family new dog. It didn't actually effect my life too much. The economy is the same, the wars are still going on and health care is still in crisis, but, apparently, our nation has something settled. I, personally, think if it takes the Obamas. And easy to train, then they are probably going to stay with the person who paid hundreds of dollars to purchase them. . I'm not ...

Wednesday, June 24, 2009. You Know Your State Is In Trouble When. Settlers history. I think that the Hocking Hills section of the state must be one of the most beautiful parts of the United States! Page about his lovely morning spent "with Joe Biden. Touring a solar factory and talking about how we can work together to revive manufacturing in Ohio.". In Honor of my beloved State of Ohio, I comprised a list to equip every citizen with red flags that they can use to know when it is time to SPEAK UP:. You k...

My Life with Four Children: So Much Going On, Part One
http://mylifewithfourchildren.blogspot.com/2010/06/so-much-going-on-part-one.html
My Life with Four Children. This blog is about the chaos and adventures of our slightly crazy family of 4 kids, 2 cats, a mom and a dad. Saturday, June 19, 2010. So Much Going On, Part One. So where have I been lately that has prevented me from blogging? I loved seeing the Boardwalk and checking out all the shops. We ate lunch at a place claiming to have the World's Largest Pizza. One pizza measured 26" across. It was HUGE! But we still managed to polish one off. Yummy! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Saturday, December 19, 2009. Writing in the Snow: An Irreverent Perspective on Our Cultural Ideas About Inclusion. Warning: This blog entry involves imagery that some might find offensive, while others might find quite natural. In fact, when she was all grown up, she would be one of the most valuable "possessions" that the town had! So time went along and all were happy in Boyville. But as she and her friends grew, she began to notice things. AN ALL TOWN FAMILY EVENT! COME WATCH YOUR CHILD ENJOY AN EVENI...

Flying Kites: March 2008

Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Well we've been back now for forever it seems and weren't sure what to do about this blog. But we've got enough family spread out all over the country that makes picture updates worthwhile. When we moved back into our house after Mexico, it felt like every toy and book the kids rediscovered was Cole's. My excuse to Lydia was that he's just older and has more things. So now she gets really excited when something is just hers. We got her a play kitchen for her birthday ...Cole jump...

Wednesday, September 10, 2008. Cole had his first day of kindergarten a couple weeks ago. He was so excited and a little nervous. The school is a 7 min walk away and one of my good friends from church teaches 1st grade there so we get the inside scoop. It is a great school and he enjoys it immensely. His only complaint so far, it's not long enough! Still smiling when we picked him up after his first day. That's a good sign. One of the first things we do to reach out and connect to incoming freshmen is mo...

Wednesday, September 26, 2007. We want so badly to understand the balance between God's grace and His discipline. We have no comprehension of God's grace and the depths of it. This week has been a week of leaning on the Lord, seeking out His heart and trusting Him for the work we do for Him. It has been awesome remembering His Sovereignty and control over everything. He is always good and His love never fails. It never fails us. It never fails anyone. Posted by the brannans. Monday, September 24, 2007.
