I didn't paint all week until yesterday when I joined Paac for it's annual Marathon paintout. We Started at Sand Stone Ranch at 5am. A little after 6:30am I started this second painting Still at Sand Stone Ranch. Onto Niwot where I completed this one. Next stop Ebin Fine Park. Finally we ended the day at Coot Lake.

Today Sharon and I went up Jones pass. It started raining almost right away. I set up my canopy and we went for it anyway. In this painting I am attempting to show a little bit of sunshine showing through the rain. Yesterday morning I went out at dawn and whipped out this 8x10 in about 10min. Links to this post.

A few paintings from the last few weeks. This is from a photo my uncle took a long time ago. I took a picture of this church in rural New Mexico. I changed the proportions making it taller and skinnier. Out on Cherry Vale rd. Here come the storms. The next four are from a trip I took to Utah. This is out near Hygeine.

The sun was coming in and out, but I was able to catch a bit of the shimmer that was happening when it was out. I painted a couple of figurines this week. This one goes along with the season.
