Mark Chatterley's health blog. I may be ill, but I'm feeling good. Looking back. Thank you all! December 31, 2012 by markchatterley. I’m sure everyone you know on Facebook or Twitter is doing something like this, but I thought that I would jump on the bandwagon and have a go. I started the year having just about come back to a normal colour. All my jaundice had left me and I was an amazing 11.5 stone. However, this never quite happened. I got to 3 days a week and found that every time I tried to go u...

Mark Chatterley's health blog. I may be ill, but I'm feeling good. Laquo; 2011: What a year. Looking back. Thank you all! January 23, 2012 by markchatterley. I really don’t have any other way of describing how I feel at the moment other than anger. Which is a very unusual sensation for me. In fact, I can’t ever remember being angry before. I have been frustrated, which is similar, but I don’t think I have ever been angry in my life until now. 8216;What am I angry about? 8217; you may ask. I am trying my ...

Virginia Is For Livers: June 2012
http://virginiaisforlivers.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Family at the 2 year celebration! Friday, June 15, 2012. Two Years Post Transplant! Won't they still use antiseptic when they do the surgery and won't the clothes I put on add some germs to my clean body? On arrival at the proper floor, I remember being separated from Ashley - she went her way and I went mine - isn't there a song sort of like that? I remember the special blue warming suits we got to wear and they were awesome! As the time goes by I am sure my memories will fade,...

http://virginiaisforlivers.blogspot.com/2010/11/157-days-and-all-is-wonderful.html
Sunday, November 7, 2010. 157 Days and All is Wonderful. From Martha I regret that it has taken me so long to update the blog and many may not see it or care read it, but never the less, the need is there for me to put some things in writing.the question has been "where do I begin"? If there is anything above perfect I think the doctors achieved it with Ashley and me! Who would do that but a very special and compassionate friend! My good friends Bob and Hallie, who live in Charlottesville, visited often ...

Virginia Is For Livers: Two Years Post Transplant!
http://virginiaisforlivers.blogspot.com/2012/06/two-years-post-transplant.html
Friday, June 15, 2012. Two Years Post Transplant! Won't they still use antiseptic when they do the surgery and won't the clothes I put on add some germs to my clean body? Arriving at UVA Medical Center we were not the only ones to be corralled into a group and escorted up the elevator to the surgical floor by a gentleman in a red vest. Bryan commented to him wondering if he was the 'tour guide'. I wondered as we went up the elevator if all these other people were having transplants! As the time goes by I...

Thursday, August 12, 2010. Keep on keepin' on. Mom is doing great! She emailed me her recent blood work results, but I must have deleted them by accident. All her liver levels were perfect. Her nurse said that they were, "awesome! So, we are so pleased. She told me today that she walked for 45 minutes today, which is even more awesome. I plan on going up to see Mom and Dad in a few weeks if I can handle the drive after work. I can't wait! Thank you everyone for your continued thoughts and prayers as mom ...

Transplant Headquarters: Book Review: Intestinal Failure: Diagnosis, Management, and Transplantation
http://transplantheadquarters.blogspot.com/2011/12/book-review-intestinal-failure.html
Wednesday, December 21, 2011. Book Review: Intestinal Failure: Diagnosis, Management, and Transplantation. Intestinal transplantation is probably the most esoteric area of organ transplantation, so learning anything about it can be nearly impossible. The occasional article or meeting isn't nearly enough to get an overall picture of the field, so I was glad to find a book about it called Intestinal Failure: Diagnosis, Management and Transplantation.
