I've also included my two illustrations for the blog so far. Enjoy! Labels: 7th round pick. So completely random news today. I'm going to have 3 of my paintings on display in the background of an upcoming episode of 48 Hours (CBS). Keep an eye out everybody. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

7th Round Pick: Helm
http://7throundpick.blogspot.com/2012/01/helm.html
Sunday, January 1, 2012. Darren Helm has chiseled a place in Red Wing fans hearts as an absolute fan-favorite. His blue-collar play has sat well with the masses because he leaves everything on the ice on a nightly basis. It's not every day you hear of people mentioning a 3rd liner as an untouchable but Helm has become a premiere bottom 6 forward. I have a belief he also has some untapped high-end potential as well, although it may be a long shot he reaches it. Here are his current stats:. Great article a...

7th Round Pick: Flip
http://7throundpick.blogspot.com/2011/12/flip.html
Monday, December 5, 2011. After last nights game in Colorado, Red Wings fans really felt the impact Valtterri Filppula. Has on the game. Flip was injured early and by the end of the game it was noticeable we didn't have a dynamic second line without him on the ice. He has finally. Grown in to the high-octane forward Wings fans all hoped for. At the beginning of the season I predicted this line for Filppula:. Flips current state line:. Now, if we can manage to have them both clicking? It sounds like his i...

7th Round Pick: Lidstrom
http://7throundpick.blogspot.com/2011/09/lidstrom.html
Thursday, September 29, 2011. What better way to follow up Little Nick than with Big Nick. It's hard to create a summary for someone that has grown to become a legend of not only the Red Wings, but the game of hockey. The best line I could come up with would have to be this:. That's the nickname that has been thrown around a lot the past year or so. It is absolutely, 100% correct. The guy can do anything and everything. He always. Lidstroms's past 4 seasons:. 07-08 - GP 76, G 10, A 60, Pts 70, 21. Prepar...

7th Round Pick: Cleary
http://7throundpick.blogspot.com/2012/01/cleary.html
Thursday, January 12, 2012. Dan Cleary has almost single-handily planted a label within the Detroit Red Wings organization that is thrown around quite often. A label that has ground to stand on with former Wings like Kris Draper and Mikael Samuelsson. The "Always able to get the most out of a Project-Player" label. Dan Cleary's 2011-12 Stats:. GP • 42. G • 10. A • 9. P • 19. GP • 70. G • 25. A • 20. P • 45. I believe Cleary is more fitted for this role and, outside of injuries, I hope he sticks to the gr...

7th Round Pick: Afrogator
http://7throundpick.blogspot.com/2012/01/afrogator.html
Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Justin Abdelkader. I'll keep this short and sweet. Abby has shown flashes of offensive potential in his college and AHL career. He also has a track record for being clutch when his team needs him most. This can be seen most prominently during the 2007 NCAA Championship game in which Abby scores the game winner late in the game. As for his NHL game? Time of the season. GP • 45. G • 5. A • 6. P • 11. GP • 82. G • 9. A • 12. Here's to another Maltby. Labels: Detroit Red Wings.

7th Round Pick: Early exit
http://7throundpick.blogspot.com/2012/05/early-exit.html
Monday, May 21, 2012. Detroit Red Wings MVP 2012 - Henrik Zetterberg. I chose z as the mvp for detroit this year. He didnt have his best year stat wise, slight drop in production but he was the most consistant player all year and his line of filppula and hudler stayed together most of the year. At times he carried our team when we had half of our top talent out due to injury. How could he pass up a Detroit Winter Classic? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Art from the Blog. 7th Round Pick: Power Rankings
http://7throundpick.blogspot.com/2012/01/power-rankings.html
Monday, January 23, 2012. Here are the Power Rankings going into the All Star break. It looks to be breakout years for both Valterri Filppula and Johan Franzen. They are red hot with 17 consecutive home victories and are in the middle of a 7 game win streak. Howard will get some votes for the Vezina at this point.who predicted that? 2 New York Rangers. What a surprise this year. Complete turn around under Wings former ast coach Paul Mclean as the new coach. Spezza with 50 points and Karlsson with...Malki...

7th Round Pick: 5 Second Half Predictions
http://7throundpick.blogspot.com/2012/01/5-second-half-predictions.html
Tuesday, January 31, 2012. 5 Second Half Predictions. After 50 games, the Red Wings are sitting where they have sat for the vast majority of the past 20 years, above 29 other teams. Many competitors have risen and fallen within this time and it was believed the Wings would start to fall as soon as other teams in the Central began to rise. 5 Second Half Predictions:. 8226; Pavel Datsyuk. Will contend for the Hart Trophy (Top 3). He will also win the Selke and if the Wings go deep, win. Currently the Wings...
