Herbjørn Gausta was born in Vestfjørddalen, Telemark, Norway, June 16, 1854 on the Gausta farm. He emigrated to Harmony, Minnesota in 1867. Achelor brothers Frank and Joseph Bily, carved clocks every winter for over 50 years. Most of the clocks are huge, and fully animated with wooden figures and built-in music boxes.
