http://mygardenblogs.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Gardening in Edinburgh, Scotland - a keen beginner gardener! Started to plant out my garden in March 2011. I've had successes and failures. I like to think I'm learning more as each season comes and goes. Most of all thank you for visiting - I hope you like it here! A gallery of bulbs growing around my garden. Sunday, 31 May 2015. End of Month View May 2015. I finally got round to removing the Nandini domestica Gulf Stream, it did not like this windy site at all and had looked absolutely rotten for months.

Local native tree nurseries in Scotland. We are committed to helping Scottish businesses which grow or source most of their stock locally. So we have added this list of tree and horticultural nurseries in Scotland. Because they supply mainly garden plants, these nurseries may put less emphasis on provenance of seed. So for native woodland plantings, you should ask about provenance (and get a provenance certificate). Any corrections or details of new nurseries. For fruit trees, see here.

This is my bedroom window, with a 10-year-old clematis Polish Spirit (which I cut to the ground in early spring), morning glory “Grandpa Otts” and an oregano in the background, which you can’t make out too well but which thrills the bees. I have an old gardening book called GARDENING IN A SMALL SPACE. I don’t want to include ...

Every rose in England. Yep, that’s right. It took me some convincing, but he assured me he’d be far happier with his puzzles in the car, or in a cafe, than gazing at Bourbon roses and marvelling at the pruning and training techniques employed by the genius gardeners. And so I’ve enjoyed the first two gardens in rather splendid isolation, getting the chance to glimpse the roses just approaching their peak. But it was at Hidcote (where my husband said he enjoyed an uninterrupted 2.5 hours of newspaper ...
