I am a Chancellor's Fellow. And MRC Career Development Award Fellow. At the MRC Human Genetics Unit. Institute of Genetics and Molecular Medicine. From 2010-2014 I was a postdoc in the group of Sarah Teichmann. At the European Bioinformatics Institute. And the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology. I completed my PhD in 2009 in the group of Julie Forman-Kay. In the Department of Biochemistry. University of Toronto and the Program in Molecular Structure and Function. Biochemistry with a Medical Perspective is an online, university level course taught by faculty from the University of Toronto. Through a series of intensive, illustrated video lectures. The course is scheduled three times a year, in the fall, winter, and summer semesters. The 54 video lectures are scheduled three times a week for 18 weeks in the fall and winter semesters, and compressed to 14 weeks in the accelerated summer semester. Biochemistry: A Short Course. Independent study is also encouraged.

The assessment includes online quizzes. And a written final exam. The evaluations will be distributed as follows:. Participation and Assignments 20%. Web - based quizzes (35%) and participation and assignments (20%) contribute towards the term mark which accounts for 55% of the course grade. The written final examination, administered at exam centers throughout the world by the U of T School of Continuing Studies (SCS), contribute to 45% of the final mark making the total 100%. The course pass mark is 50%.
