Facilitating an Online Course. Using Wikis in the Classroom. Posted by Judith Conway. I teach a course at the University of Delaware in the summer, EDUC 632: Using the Internet for Curricular Applications. Last summer I used a wiki as a common space for class participants to share links and ideas from class discussion. Here is the link (with last summer’s participant pages) http:/ udeduc632s07.wikispaces.com/. As promised, here is the link to a wiki for our class:. Helping Teachers Help Students.

Facilitating an Online Course: RSS feeds
http://facilitatingonline.blogspot.com/2009/02/rss-feeds.html
Facilitating an Online Course. Posted by Judith Conway. Well RSS feeds. well. This is a challenging topic for most people. The last time I facilitated this course one of the participants posted a good explanation. Let's say I want to go to Drum Corps International (dci.org), then Winter Guard International (wgi.org), and follow that up with Engadget.com (because I like all that tech stuff). That could take me a lot of time and when I go to those sites, there might not be anything updated!

Facilitating an Online Course: Podcasts and Video Streaming
http://facilitatingonline.blogspot.com/2009/02/podcasts-and-video-streaming.html
Facilitating an Online Course. Podcasts and Video Streaming. Posted by Judith Conway. This week we really get to have fun exploring streaming video resources on the web in addition to examining Podcasting examples. I have worked with several classes of students as they create Podcasts; it is a very interesting activity for them that can really encourage higher order thinking. I embedded a Podcast that I created about Podcasting – it’s on the side; feel free to give it a listen. LOVE the talking avatar!
