These centers visit each year patients with BCM and are very knowledgeable about issues related to low visual acuity and the need for filters (sunglasses or colored contact lenses) in the presence of sunlight. Treatment is symptomatic, and involves the patient periodically undergoing ophthalmological examinations. Magenta or brown filter lenses or contact lenses. Powerful magnifying lenses can be used, and all tablet devices (iPads, Kindles) make it possible to vary the lighting of text. In some countries, electronic versions of school books are available that can be read on an iPad.
