A topnotch WordPress.com site. The Science of Sound. This week we have learned that sound is caused by vibrations. To help us to understand this, we created a string telephone. From this we learned that the vibrations travel down the string to our ear – we could actually feel it! We also learned that it would work only if the string was straight.
