amy's cookery: August 2011
http://amyscookery.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 26, 2011. Probably the best form of Kitchen Kitsch I've ever owned. I proudly bought the hugging kangaroo and koala salt and pepper shakers (which sit so nicely on their map of Australia) while Hannah and Rohan were climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Hannah loves them - that's all that really matters. (but so do I.grin). Friday, August 26, 2011. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Thunder Oak Cheese Farm. Thunder Oak Cheese Farm. amy's cookery: Pumpkin Ravioli with Sage Brown Butter
http://amyscookery.blogspot.com/2012/09/pumpkin-ravioli-with-sage-brown-butter.html
Saturday, September 22, 2012. Pumpkin Ravioli with Sage Brown Butter. The first time I had pumpkin ravioli with sage brown butter was in Mildura, Australia. None of us will ever forget the food in Mildura - it was divine; and the pumpkin ravioli has been on my mind ever since. Most of the recipes I've looked at call for wonton wrappers or prepared pasta. It was hard to find any that used pumpkin pasta as well. Nothing beats fresh, homemade pasta. I actually had to buy sage. Thank goodness for local farms.

Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Making things up as I go, using standard salsa ingredients in roughly the following proportions:. 8 tomatoes, coarsely chopped. 2 jalapeno, finely chopped. 4 cloves of garlic, minced. 4 green onions, finely chopped. 2 capsicum (any colour), finely chopped. 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice. 1 teaspoon kosher salt. 1 white onion, finely chopped. Okay, so I used a few more than eight tomatoes. Wednesday, September 28, 2011. With a simple shortbread c...

amy's cookery: December 2011
http://amyscookery.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 22, 2011. R's barbecue and garage east. Driveway, off-street parking and. There are still a few details to finish - like gingerbread people to live in this fine house. The final icing - the snow - was meant to be whipped and smooth, but because the mixer died I had to hand mix what I had left. It was going to be crumbly (or I would make a bigger mess) so I just left it, and added to granulated sugar for sparkle then packed it into the royal icing lined yard. I thought I did.,. Thursday...

amy's cookery: Thanksgiving 2012
http://amyscookery.blogspot.com/2012/10/thanksgiving-2012.html
Thursday, October 11, 2012. Nathan and Uncle Rohan pose for their annual. When we were at Maltese ordering the turkey for our dinner I insisted we needed the biggest bird we could fit on the barbecue plus. A whole breast. Why I over estimate how much meat we need every time, I don't know.maybe it's something to do with how beautiful that big, fat bird looks up there. MMmmm. Our place tags were handcrafted by Nathan Wilson. At the time we bought the table that seats ten comfortably, twelve if you don't mi...
