Thursday just past, we went for a Christmas meal with some of the other shop owners in Chapel Place, to a curious little local restaurant that I was completly unaware of. Morello. They post the menu in advance on their web site. So you can get a feel for what is coming up and jump in and make a booking if you feel tempted, something I think we'll be doing again.

I know that it's blasphemous to mix bourbon; you are supposed to enjoy the special taste of the bourbon either on ice or with a touch of water to unlock flavor. My taste for cocktails overrides tradition, though. And I've found that bourbon is one of the best liquors out there for mixing, due to its earthy flavor and biting strength, so I often use it in my mixed drinks versus vodka or rum. That said, you know how gorgeous cherry oak is? Mountain Dew Code Red.
