Biting the Big Apple: Flower district
http://bitingthebigapple.blogspot.com/2011/09/flower-district.html
Biting the Big Apple. Musings of a French girl (but really British at heart) living in New York. Thursday, September 8, 2011. To say that one can never fully know all of what New York has to offer is an understatement. Just when I felt I had almost gotten there, it managed to surprise me and bring me back to reality - there are still so many things I have yet to experience here. And long may it be this way! Biting the Big Apple. Musings of a French girl (but really British at heart) living in New York. Thursday, December 23, 2010. France and my family home have never felt so far away than this week. Like thousands of other people, my travel plans were severely hindered this past weekend - and unfortunately still are. I guess these kind of things make you realize what's important and when I miraculously found an Easyjet flight leaving Gatwick at 7am on Dec 24th, I booked it straight away, ignoring the cost.

Biting the Big Apple. Musings of a French girl (but really British at heart) living in New York. Monday, December 5, 2011. My friend CS and I decided to go on one last quick escape to the sun before Winter really sets in the City. With a great mix of beaches, rain forest and city, it was the perfect choice for us. Always up for adventure, we signed up to go night kayaking in the bioluminescent bay. It's difficult to explain the experience and I couldn't take any pictures but imagine kayaking in complete ...

Biting the Big Apple. Musings of a French girl (but really British at heart) living in New York. Tuesday, June 28, 2011. My favourite jazz vocalist of all times, little Jimmy Scott. Performed at the Blue Note Jazz Club. In the West Village last week and I got tickets for me and the Boy as soon as I learnt about it. If I was to recommend some good jazz venues, I would go with Dizzy's. For the panorama alone), as well as Smoke. A tiny brick-walled club on 105th and Broadway. Sunday, June 26, 2011. I met up...

Arse About Fez: 10-Oct-2011
http://arseaboutfez.blogspot.com/2011_10_10_archive.html
Monday, 10 October 2011. My name is Death. Yes, it's that time of year again. I've got man-flu. And, as any woman will know, man-flu can seem to be almost life-threatening. When I was a child, my mother gave me a little bell that I would ring any time I needed something. She knew the power of man-flu. One thing that always trips me up linguistically is that, in the Turkish language, you don't 'have' an illness, you 'become' one. So, currently, I am a cold. Strange, I know. Thursday, 23 June 2011. The Easiest Way to Stop Smoking. Though this post may appear a little off topic, it is loosely related to living in Turkey and absolutely related to my life here .or anywhere. It started about a month ago with a regular cough and cold. Something that I've become accustomed too since choosing a career as a school teacher. The cold came and went but I was left with a hacking cough that refused to budge. Great, I thought. Nothing serious then. What the fuck is going on? Do you have a...

For drivers who don't want to be disturbed by some pesky alarm warning you of your precarious position when you're not wearing your seat belt. I give you the danger neutraliser. Simply plug this device into your seat belt socket and cleverly fool your car into thinking you actually give a shit about not hurtling through your windscreen. Cheaper solutions are also available:. London - Mayfair: Oxford to Brighton
http://kaddyos.blogspot.com/2007/10/oxford-to-brighton.html
Wednesday, October 10, 2007. There is clearly something about Wednesday’s; maybe Wednesday should be my working from home day. I have slept in and am now on the 6am Bus out of Oxford. Yesterday, was another lovely day down at Tech in Brighton. (Lovely because of the people, not the rain). The time it took to get their though I could of gone to Kazakhstan and back, while still doing 8 plus hours of work. That would have taken ages to get from Oxford to Brighton through London. London - Mayfair: A Oxford Weekend
http://kaddyos.blogspot.com/2007/10/oxford-weekend.html
Tuesday, October 30, 2007. Last weekend was a typical Oxford weekend. Friday Night drinks at the Uni Bar, for once though we actually went home for dinner. ( I was still suffering from that Train crash feeling). Saturday, I was starting to feel more like myself and attended the Oxford Said Women’s Network event. Saturday afternoon we managed to buy Rich a suit, very big achievement, not always the easiest thing to buy a 6 foot 5 guy a suit. . Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Internet is for.

Monday, 21 March 2011. Hold the front page! I would have liked to have posted this on the day of publication so you could have had a chance to go and buy the paper, but I got interviewed for the Hurriyet Daily News (previously the Turkish Daily News). Thursday, 9 February 2012. Karpuzun hamı. Topalın amı. A ripe watermelon. A lame girl's twat. Both extremely sweet apparently. The watermelon is fairly self-explanatory. The girl with a limp? Due to the fact she don't get out much. It is assumed she would be equipped with, what Mike Reid might describe as, a mouse's ear 'ole. In her downstairs department. BTW good to be back :). Glad to see you back! Welcome back, and what an ummmm. or should I say am.entrance. Watermelon still bewilders me.

Thursday, 28 April 2011. Putting the 'Man' in 'Manisa'. At the end of March, a small city on the outskirts of Izmir hosts a rather unusual festival. Welcome to Manisa, known for mental hospitals and, possibly related, the craziest drivers in the Aegean region. The festival is a week-long celebration with appearances by minor celebrities and politicians. But the city is really celebrating another local claim to fame. I had been counting down the days to this event since April last year. I knew this wa...

Biting the Big Apple. If I can make it here, I can make it anywhere!
