The Yoder Family: Preemie Calf
http://yoderfarm.blogspot.com/2015/08/preemie-calf.html
Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Very likely this is *the* SMALLEST calf any of us have ever seen that is actually surviving. Fortunately it is taking well to colostrum feedings several times a day by way of bottle. I don't know what its gestational age was at birth, but it is very tiny. It is too short to reach her mother's udder to nurse! For size reference, the photo below is Clay and Miles feeding a normal size newborn calf:. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Yoder Family: I Haven't Written for a Long Time
http://yoderfarm.blogspot.com/2015/05/i-havent-written-for-long-time.html
Friday, May 08, 2015. I Haven't Written for a Long Time. A)nd nobody knew so well. How to frighten Miss Clavel. In the middle of one night. Miss Clavel turned on the light. And said, "Something is not right! And so this is why I am sitting up at the computer at like 2 am. Instead of being in bed asleep like I ought to be. One of my darlings wasn't feeling well, it turns out. Not that I actually *did* anything about it. (Shannah really doesn't need so much Mommy assistance anymore.). But now I am awake.

The Yoder Family: A Very Happy Birthday, Garth!
http://yoderfarm.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-very-happy-birthday-garth.html
Saturday, May 16, 2015. A Very Happy Birthday, Garth! The other day Garth came into the room laughing and proceeded to tell the story of what had just happened to him. (Yes, I know, the pictures of him generally show him really sober and as if he must never find humor in anything. It's all a facade.). He parked the tractor and chased down the horse. Having it securely in hand, he led it- -buggy and all- -back up to where he first saw it, assuming it had probably been tied to the hitching rail at the ...

Delila: September 2013
http://kountrygalphotography.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 27, 2013. The last few days have been pretty foggy, with the sunrise it's even more gorgeous! Today I had off so I zipped outside as soon as I got up to snapped a few pictures! This one was taken in our front pasture! Love the shadows from the trees! Every morning I go to work I see this pound with the steam rising off the waters and the geese along the edge still waking up! I think that's what they are doing! Hehe) and the sun shining through the tress giving it a nice red/orange glow!

Delila: Riding!
http://kountrygalphotography.blogspot.com/2014/09/riding.html
Monday, September 22, 2014. Here a couple better pictures of Sophie, our horse! Our cousin from Va. rode her a little bit. For some reason Lamar decided he wanted to ride our milk cow. So this afternoon he got on her and tried everything he could think of to get her to walk. Surprisingly Dolly stood there and took it. Now and then she would take a few steps forward but wouldn't go far! He did NOT like it when this fella would hang around her. Don't know if it was those horns that scared him or what!
