Living with Leukemia: Ultimate Healing
http://wilhoite.blogspot.com/2007/09/ultimate-healing.html
Monday, September 10, 2007. Once again, I'm not sure the best way to say this, so out it comes. My dear beloved Amy has gone home to meet her Lord. Shortly after 4:00 PM on this, September 10th, 2007, she took her last sweet breath. Moments before, she leaned up to me, and with much effort, told me she loved me - and gave me a kiss through her oxygen mask. Thank you once again for all of your prayer. 1 – 200 of 404 Newer›. 160; Newest». Mon Sep 10, 06:22:00 PM. Mon Sep 10, 06:23:00 PM. My heart is brea...

Living with Leukemia: Once Again, Please Pray
http://wilhoite.blogspot.com/2007/09/once-again-please-pray.html
Monday, September 10, 2007. Once Again, Please Pray. I don't know where to begin, so I'll just be blunt. Amy is need of much prayer. The fungal infection in her lungs is taking its toll. She is having a very difficult time breathing, on top of which she is also now dealing with mucositis from the methotrexate dose on Friday and the same pain issues she's had these last couple of weeks. Thank you all for your faithfullness in praying for Amy. Praying and praying for Amy and for you. Words escape me. I thi...
Ten years | A Separate Peace
https://separatepeace.wordpress.com/2008/06/13/ten-years
Broken vows and God’s faithfulness. June 13, 2008 in divorce. Today marks our 10th wedding anniversary. It’s not quite the vow-renewing romantic getaway I envisioned not so long ago. Instead, I’m trying not to be too wistful, sentimental, and sad, and am thinking about the settlement agreement we’re working on. Ten years. I always thought we’d be one of those couples you see still holding hands in their eighties. But instead, here we are. I’m letting go. He gives and takes away. He pulled the plug. Fill ...
Even the lilies of the field | A Separate Peace

Broken vows and God’s faithfulness. Even the lilies of the field. April 18, 2008 in faith. Today, a church member contacted the church to ask if they knew of someone who would benefit from voluntary landscaping and yard maintenance services! 8220;Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
I’m letting go | A Separate Peace
https://separatepeace.wordpress.com/2008/06/20/im-letting-go
Broken vows and God’s faithfulness. I’m letting go. June 20, 2008 in divorce. My heart beats, standing on the edge. But my feet have finally left the ledge. There’s no turning back. I’m letting go. Of the life I planned for me. Feels like I’m falling and that’s what it’s like to believe. So I’m letting go. This is a giant leap of faith. Trusting and trying to embrace. The fear of the unknown. Beyond my comfort zone. Giving in to your gravity. Knowing You are holding me. I’m not afraid. He pulled the plug.

Bits of the Past Cooking | Cooking simply with love from the past and present
Old Method of Measuring. Bits of the Past Cooking. Cooking simply with love from the past and present. August 12, 2015. We recently had a small volunteer pumpkin plant produce two pie pumpkins. I honestly do not know where this plant came from, but I was happy it showed up. The pumpkins were ripe and ready to go, so I thought I would venture into the unkown world of making pumpkin pie from scratch. This is a scary thought for someone like me! I have never made a pumpkin pie to begin with! August 11, 2015.
Bits of the Rietz
Bits of the Rietz. Monday, July 20, 2015. 2 (of my many) problems solved! I'm sure you'll be surprised to hear this, my blog reading friend, but I have problems. Some big and important, some pretty small and stupid. Some which I just need to take by the horns and fix, and some are totally out of my control. My job on the last group is to fix my attitude to accept that I don't. Of course, and most likely will be doing that in some form the rest of her life. Is she debilitated by it? I'm grateful for her!
