Notes From A Mama: December 2014
http://notesfromamama.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 26, 2014. We had a more solitary Christmas than we had intended. We were able to visit with my parents and sister the last weekend of advent, with plan of my parents coming down to see us on Christmas Day- due to illness we weren't seeing Justin's parents at Christmas, though we did visit with them at Thanksgiving. Thankfully the kids didn't feel poorly, despite their fevers. They opened their pajamas on Christmas Eve. Friday, December 19, 2014. In children's section of the art museum th...

Notes From A Mama: May 2015
http://notesfromamama.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 29, 2015. Our year ran later then usual this year, between illnesses, snow days (because who wants to do school when even the university is closed and there is legitimate sledding in central TN? I thought I'd review some of the books we used this year (I'm not receiving any compensation, so just my opinions). We tried Sequential Spelling. I also tried Learning Language Arts through Literature. Math again, which I really like the strong basis of. We've also kept to Writing with Ease. Books The...

Friday, July 31, 2015. Friday Funnies and a Little Life. Nate: We have red lights so people can walk or drive without being interrupted. Yellow lights mean go slow, and green lights me go medium, but I wish we didn't have red lights. Justin grumbled about another driver. Gabby: Why don't you honk your horn at them? Justin: It wouldn't help. Gabby: Well complaining doesn't help either. As you might be able to tell we've spent more than our normal amount of time driving this week! Monday, July 13, 2015.

Notes From A Mama: February 2015
http://notesfromamama.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 23, 2015. I'm not sure if I forgot or if toddler 4.0 is just a bit more challenging- due to her personality and the ages of the sibs. I am so grateful that we have older kids, as they can be so helpful, but of course they have many more breakable things, and teeny tiny choking hazard things, and more school work to do this time around. It is just a different animal having a one year old with a nine year old than it is a one year old with a three year old. Friday, February 20, 2015. The w...

Notes From A Mama: August 2015
http://notesfromamama.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 19, 2015. It took us being established in a church for a good while, sure we were ready to set down roots before we chose to have our children baptized. Here is why.people often feel very strongly on this topic. Justin and I feel that there are essentials, things that truly mark a people as Christian. Infant versus adult baptism is not one of those. Jesus told the thief next to him that he would join him in paradise. (No chance to be baptized). Friday, August 14, 2015.

Notes From A Mama
http://notesfromamama.blogspot.com/2015/07/im-often-asked-if-we-school-in-summer.html
Monday, July 13, 2015. I'm often asked if we school in the summer. The answer is usually not really. I mean the kids read ALL the time. Then there was the time Kate broke her arm and couldn't do summer, so we did school between physical therapy sessions and doctor's visits. And the summer before Ellie came that we did school so I could take the time after she was born. So now, I guess the answer is about half the time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
