A young moon, Venus and fading Mercury. March 18, 2018. On Sunday evening, the planet Mercury was hanging out higher than a 32-hour-old moon and Venus in the evening twilight sky. Mercury is fading fast, but still to the upper right of Venus. The moon will move on to the upper left each night; Mercury will fade away and to the lower right for the rest of the month.
