Arriving at Merrill, the crew sets out the two cars for interchange on the Interchange siding and the one car for Merrill on Merrill siding at Stronghold. There they pick up 2- 40 boxcars for Hotlum. The Bartle, Klamath and Lookout Railroad. I was privileged to visit to the Portola Railroad Museum in Portola California in 2012. I had won a "Drive a Train" drawing at the X2011 National Convention. I was 'stoked! Here are a couple of photographs taken at the engine I drove. Picture one is of the Warning Sign! Picture two is of the NW2 Switcher as we prepped it for running. Picture three is me at the throttle. Man, what a thrill! Looking forward to another trip in the future. Return to the BKLRR HOME.
