Visit Our Shop on Etsy! Friday, June 22, 2007. Up until April 2007, we had two sweet dogs, Snickers and Shadow. They were both female border collie mixes, Snickers being part hound of some kind and Shadow being part Labrador retriever. Shadow had lots of health problems throughout her life, including epilepsy. In the middle of December 2006, she passed away in our backyard, nestled in Lorrie's arms. We think she must have had an aneurism or stroke. Posted by Lorrie and Mike Eckerdt. Visit Our Shop on Etsy! Monday, July 7, 2008. Amanda and Austin's Wedding. I know, I know. It's already July and we haven't updated our blog to include one of the biggest events of 2008: Amanda's marriage to Austin Laureski, which happened on May 31. So sue me. You can have everything that's left over, which is just about nothing. :). It turned out to be just a wonderful experience! These silly kids crack me up, though. Jessica and Teä flew out from New York and Vernie flew in from SoCal to help out....

Visit Our Shop on Etsy! Thursday, July 3, 2008. Supreme Court Decision on Second Amendment. On June 26, 2008, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the right to keep and bear arms is not reserved for the state only, but extends to individuals as well. Although there are certain to be other attempts to limit the types of firearms, ammunition, etc. that citizens can own, this decision is truly a landmark and preserves this precious right for at least a season. THE ATKINSONS: Charlotte's Birthday Party
http://jgtatkinson.blogspot.com/2011/08/charlottes-birthday-party.html
Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Charlotte turned 1. I can't believe it. My how time flies. Well it has flown the last few months. The first seven months were s.l.o.w. We sure are lucky to have her though. She is the sweetest little thing. Some fun things that she has done this year are (mostly so I have written them down and don't forget when they happened):. Crawled at nine months soon followed by walking along objects. She took her first step two days ago, it was very small but it was a step (August 22).

Lorrie and Mike Eckerdt: HELP
http://eckerdt.blogspot.com/2008/11/help.html
Visit Our Shop on Etsy! Wednesday, November 26, 2008. Okay, so I have been getting comments from many people that we need to update our blog.duh! I know that we do, but if I ask Mike one more time how to update, change, etc., this blog I think he will, well it won't be pretty! I decided today that it's do or die and the latter just might be the result. I don't really think that many people check out our blog anyway, but maybe if there was something new (boring as it might be) someone will notice. We're j...

Visit Our Shop on Etsy! Thursday, January 31, 2008. Our friend, Becky Stuart. Many of you have probably already heard that our next-door neighbor and good friend, Becky Stuart, was recently diagnosed with a couple kinds of cancer, one of which is very aggressive. So far, the cancer has taken hold in her lungs, colon, and liver. This is, of course, a very hard time for her and her family. Your thoughts and prayers would be very much appreciated. Visit Our Shop on Etsy! Friday, July 6, 2007. July 4, 2007 vs. Independence Day. What does this day mean to you? Is it July 4, just another date on the calendar? Or is it Independence Day, a holiday unique to our nation? The one on which we commemorate the birth of the United States of America. We hope it's the latter. It is for us. As has become our tradition, we celebrated by going to the Saxeys' home for a big neighborhood flag ceremony, Primary parade, and breakfast. Posted by Lorrie and Mike Eckerdt.
