Saturday, October 4, 2008. Last Meeting of the year. We met at the Pinicon. Discussion of prior events:. Davis Rally was discussed and thoughts of making this an annual event with a similar route. Guns and Hoses ride was discussed. Public Safety Poker Run is scheduled for next Saturday the 11t h. Of October please see the Rides and Events calendar for details and to register. Sounds like at least 2 members will be attending. About the national and regional conferences set for next year. Reed H. Palo.

Monday, September 29, 2008. Lance has pulled the plug! Deputy Lance Manson has retired and will be missed by the Chickasaw County Sheriff's office. His last day and last acts were for the Davis Rally. He rode the lead bike in the Evening Parade and was honored by the Rally for his years of service later that night. It was a sad but happy day for all of us. The retirement party is scheduled for Sunday, October 19th at the Fredericksburg City Hall from 2:00-5:00. More will be posted about this.

Rides and Events Calendar. Next Meeting September 6th, Davis Rally. The next Meeting of the Blue Knights Iowa V, is set for October 4th at the Pinicon in New Hampton. This will likely be the last meeting of the riding season so please attend if you can. We will meet at 1:00 pm and have a ride to follow "to be determined" (weather permitting). Items to discuss at the meeting include: plans for the winter season, start up dates for spring and event planning for next year. Hope to see you all there.
