Thursday, June 17, 2010. Day 364 - JoBurg Day 2. June 16, 2010. So yesterday I made the decision that I was going to spend the next year to work on becoming European thin! I am holding true to this because today I got to hand out in Sandton AGAIN, and all I saw were these string beans all over the place. I realize that I am not going to every be a string bean but I would like to go out and not feel fat! I managed to squeeze in 20 minutes of Zumba. I know when I get back I am going to be a disaster.

Today I spent the day in Paris and let me just say that just from my 8 hours there, I now understand why there is a saying AND a book stating that French Women Don't Get Fat. This is true and here are the reasons I observed today:. 1 There are so many hills and steps that they have to take when they are walking around that they probably burn close to 3500-4000 calories a day which is equivalent to one pound a day! I am not a huge fried food fan but for some reason I cant stop! At least I walked about 5 miles today for exercise so I will try to do the same tomorrow to make up for the slothfullness. Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Day 363 - JoBurg. June 15, 2010. The thing that I first noticed about JoBurg South Africa is that it is freaking cold in June! I had to wear my coat, scarf and gloves just to stay warm! Another thing I noticed is that it is very clean and everyone drives a BMW, Audi or Mercedes! This is not the image that the media portrays. I love that the American Dollar is so strong here and I also love that the people speak English. The thing I don't love is that there are skinny beatches here!
