The Rantings of a Literary Diva: School Board Holds County Hostage
http://chesya.blogspot.com/2008/08/school-board-holds-county-hostage.html
The Rantings of a Literary Diva. Thursday, August 28, 2008. School Board Holds County Hostage. Clayton County Schools Lose Accreditation. About this issue already. I moved from the county several months ago, as I could not put my children's future on the line. But what about those who can not move. They aren't sure what will happen to seniors this year. Imagine having gone to school for twelve years and finding out that your diploma is worthless. Those poor kids! Had a great time. Will call soon.

The Rantings of a Literary Diva: Formidable women, half retarded men
http://chesya.blogspot.com/2008/08/formidable-women-half-retarded-men.html
The Rantings of a Literary Diva. Tuesday, August 12, 2008. Formidable women, half retarded men. So, I helped my mother move yesterday. She was at work and couldn’t get off, so the only people there were myself, and my two sisters. My mom moves a lot. She doesn’t like to stay in one place too long, so about every two years she gets the itch, and I know I’ll be getting a call telling me she’s found the most amazing place. And they always are. The only bad thing is that I have to help her move. It’s s...

The Rantings of a Literary Diva: June 2010
http://chesya.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
The Rantings of a Literary Diva. Thursday, June 17, 2010. The question: “One would think that since we’ve come so far as to have a black president we wouldn’t need award programs where the winners have to be of a particular ethnicity. Imagine the hate and protest that would come if there was a White. Television channel and awards ceremony, or a White Miss America Pageant. Are these ethnic-centered events still needed? What are your thoughts? Than our last few presidents combined. Really… So, PoC do...

Blog Was Star: misc. stuff
http://blogwasstar.blogspot.com/2011/05/misc-stuff.html
Friday, May 27, 2011. The book was What Happened to Goodbye. By Sarah Dessen. In hardcover. And it wasn't even officially out in stores yet. Some kid must have dropped it out of their backpack or something, right? There's no way someone was giving it away. Maybe? Or maybe it was some librarian-type who gets loads of free books and was done with it. It really was in a free-book location. Argh! Why didn't I grab it and run? I know I have to just let it go. And I'm halfway through Neal Shusterman's Everfound.

Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Top 100 YA books. A while back, I wrote about Persnickety Snark's list of the top 100 YA books. There was a poll where you could submit your own top ten (mine's here. 735 people participated, and then Adele compiled the results. All through July and August she's been counting down the results, a few at a time starting with this post. And finally the complete list is up. Number 1 is Hunger Game. At #91, and How I Live Now. Sunday, August 15, 2010. Cemeteries; eggplants; bald spots.
