Johns workbench: Wiring the Hon3 engine terminal
http://johnsworkbench.blogspot.com/2014/07/wiring-hon3-engine-terminal.html
Thursday, July 10, 2014. Wiring the Hon3 engine terminal. Between working on my bathroom remodeling project and this, I've just about finished wiring this up. I wired this so that if I decide to put blocks in at some later date, it will be real easy to do. I highly recommend using some sort of connectors on the wires, makes it real easy to make changes, plus don't have to worry about a stray wire strand causing a short. Since I'm using DCC, I'm ganging all the wire feeds together. Chris Nevards Model Rai...

Johns workbench: Hon3 Engine Terminal complete
http://johnsworkbench.blogspot.com/2014/12/hon3-engine-terminal-complete.html
Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Hon3 Engine Terminal complete. Finally finished up the engine terminal. Finished building the Campbell sandhouse, I built it with the sandtower on the other end similar to the Chama tower layout. Dragged it outside for a few pictures. Need to tone down the grass a bit I think. I'm going to finish the Westerfield cars I started earlier and then? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Black Log Valley Railroad. Johns workbench: Westerfield car builds
http://johnsworkbench.blogspot.com/2014/09/westerfield-car-builds.html
Tuesday, September 23, 2014. While I'm waiting for my sandhouse to arrive, I thought I'd build though some of my stack of Westerfield car kits. I've probably built over a hundred of these over the years. This batch I got on eBay for around $12 a car. I like to build them in batches, as it seems to go faster. I'm building a W1 B&O hopper, 2 PRR H21a hoppers and a PRR GTRA gondola. I work on a glass table which helps to keep everything square. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Black Log Valley Railroad.

Johns workbench: October 2010
http://johnsworkbench.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 24, 2010. 1/48 scale Tamiya bulldozer. I recently picked up one of the Tamiya 1/48 scale Japanese bulldozer model. I'll be using it on my On30 model of the Chili Line I've been working on. It's a very simple kit, it only took me about an hour to get it ready for paint/weathering. The parts are crisply moulded with no flash, but since it's from Tamiya, what else would you expect! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Black Log Valley Railroad. Nirvana Valley Model Railroad. The Path Valley Railroad: Shapeways
http://pvrr.blogspot.com/2012/05/shapeways.html
The Path Valley Railroad. An N scale model railroad based on the planned Path Valley Railroad in south central Pennsylvania. Saturday, May 26, 2012. As expected the Shapeways cars arrived just in time for the trip to Florida. When I got back I was able to get them painted up and I have assembled one of the three bay cars. Unfortunately one end platform on each of the two bay cars have been damaged, so I will have to rebuild them before I can put them together. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Model Ra...

The Path Valley Railroad: Rock Quarrys and 4-4-0's

The Path Valley Railroad. An N scale model railroad based on the planned Path Valley Railroad in south central Pennsylvania. Friday, September 5, 2014. Rock Quarrys and 4-4-0's. So I started a new project just as a fun sort of thing, it started out as an experiment/test track but I'm also doing some new things with it. It's all fun and games, right? First impressions, man this thing is fra-JEEE-lay! But from what I understand it's not for the faint of heart. So I started adding cars to the smug little At...

The Path Valley Railroad: EBT M-1?
http://pvrr.blogspot.com/2013/11/ebt-m-1.html
The Path Valley Railroad. An N scale model railroad based on the planned Path Valley Railroad in south central Pennsylvania. Thursday, November 7, 2013. Roy Stevens on the Nn3 list has been busy creating Nn3 items in his Shapeways shop. Unfortunately many of his creations are un-printable due to resolution issues for these small items, but I have gotten copies of the things I have been able to. One of those things that I have often wished for was the East Broad Top's M-1. Gas electric motor car. Armadill...

The Path Valley Railroad: $500 layout
http://pvrr.blogspot.com/2014/07/500-layout.html
The Path Valley Railroad. An N scale model railroad based on the planned Path Valley Railroad in south central Pennsylvania. Wednesday, July 16, 2014. I may have mentioned that I got interested in a contest, unfortunately I missed the deadline but I've been having fun with the premise anyway. The idea is to create a fully functional layout including benchwork, trackage, locomotives, rolling stock, scenery and control systems for less than $500. This is, of course, a beginners layout, so nothing fancy.

The Path Valley Railroad: I've Been Working On The Railroad(s)
http://pvrr.blogspot.com/2015/01/ive-been-working-on-railroads.html
The Path Valley Railroad. An N scale model railroad based on the planned Path Valley Railroad in south central Pennsylvania. Saturday, January 31, 2015. I've Been Working On The Railroad(s). For the past couple of weeks I've been laying Fast Tracks turnouts. On the narrow gauge, wiring them up and hooking them to Caboose Industries ground throws. I've found that the 224S. Designed for Atlas code 55, is perfect for Nn3. The only thing I will save is the turntable. I have no plans for it, but it will g...
