There are many different things going on in and around the village and you can use our village calendars to find out what’s going on. Events range from fêtes, exhibitions and jumble sales through to regular Scouts and Guides meetings and local history meetings and skittles nights. The middle of everywhere. At first glance Blagdon’s rural location would suggest it’s in the middle of nowhere. However, Blagdon sits on the northern edge of the Mendip Hills. In the South West of Great Britain and is centrally located for the major urban areas of Bath. The M5 and M4 are both half-an-hour’s drive away with Birmingham. All within two hours from there. Is less than 15 minutes away and offers UK and international flights. There are several railway stations nearby including Weston-super-Mare.

Like many rural English villages the predominant faith in Blagdon is Christian. Church of England, Baptist, Methodist and Roman Catholic churches are either part of or within easy reach of the village.
