I wrote in earlier posts (12 and 8c) about knocking the back wall down and leaving a great big opening between the old house and new house which has now been done and looks fabulous. So the good news is that we have enough money to go ahead with the more expensive option of completely concreting the floor in the old kitchen/diner.
