The Big Sandy Mountaineer -. Watch Out for Wildlife on the Roads. March 29, 2017. Please use the following advice when driving on MT highways and roads, taken from Geico.com:.

End of March brings Many Feathered Friends - The Big Sandy Mountaineer

http://www.bigsandymountaineer.com/story/2017/03/29/news/end-of-march-brings-many-feathered-friends/1177.html

The Big Sandy Mountaineer -. End of March brings Many Feathered Friends. March 29, 2017. Those bits of feather, flesh and bones that sing and call forth are among our first signs of spring, even in March’s moodiness. Doesn’t matter if you hunt them in the fall, look for them with longing in the spring, or don’t care to know a robin from a red-tail; they are here and doing their thing. Over-wintering birds are sitting on eggs or getting ready to mate even through this leonine month of wind, cold and snow.

The Big Sandy Mountaineer -. By Robert C. Lucke. March 29, 2017. A friend was telling me this week how much she loved March because each day held the promise of spring. I told her I did not like March at all because it always seemed to have more winter than spring and that the March winds are always some of the worst in the year. The day after my talking with her, I experienced those terrible winds in Big Sandy where coming out of the east, there must have been gusts of more than 40mph. Go figure that one.
