http://mosaicmoments.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 29, 2015. Below, a peek at the deer making themselves right at home in the backyard of my daughter's new house. In the "bear encounter" video below the photographer/narrator is my daughter; the other voice, her husband's cousin. The scene, her front yard. For video of bear eating the Reale family garbage, click here. What Grace is Reading . . . That the characters are so much more fleshed out in the four Freedom books, one of her last series, than in the Pern classics. At one time or ano...

Grace's Mosaic Moments: June 2015
http://mosaicmoments.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 28, 2015. My daughter met a new neighbor this week. Writing Workshop 9 - Final Installment. Transitions seem unimportant until they aren't there. It's so easy to be looking ahead to what comes next that you fail to wind up one thing before beginning another. The effect, however, is like someone knocking a swimmer off the diving board before he's reached the end. It's a true "Huh? Yes, mechanics count! The most pleasant way to learn what you need to know is to pay attention to punctuation whe...

http://mosaicmoments.blogspot.com/2015/08/editing-examples.html
Saturday, August 8, 2015. Earlier this week I invited the grandchildren to a popular nearby outdoor site on the Wekiva River. Fortunately, we hadn't actually done it yet. Tonight's TV news:. And no, I'm not making this up. Florida is a lot wilder than the 62 million visitors a year to our theme parks ever imagine! Follow-up from Sunday's Orlando Sentinel. Seven-mile Bridge on the way to Key West. Okay, so now I'm criticizing someone else's approach. Mea culpa. I just want to be sure new, or struggling, a...

Grace's Mosaic Moments: February 2015
http://mosaicmoments.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 28, 2015. A weird weather year - icy cactus in Texas - posted to Facebook by Texas Hill Country. Both books are magnificent examples of the art of Characterization and should be read for that, if for nothing else. One is a Romance, the other - for lack of a better word - Women's Fiction. And both are examples of books written by authors with special knowledge. True Pretenses. By an author with an understanding of Judaism. The Disenchanted Widow. If you require an HEA ending, then perha...

Grace's Mosaic Moments: The Moving Blues
http://mosaicmoments.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-moving-blues.html
Saturday, June 13, 2015. Cassidy, Hailey, Riley at approximately the time I moved to Orlando in 2007. Cassidy (with Mommy), now 8 and dressed for her dance recital last Saturday. Hailey, now 12 - second from right at dance recital. Well, as a reason for enduring the torment of moving, grandchildren can't be beat. Their parents closed on their new house this week, and if I hadn't moved, I'd still be in East Orlando, forty minutes away. As is, the distance is about 2 miles. Closing and insurance papers:.
