http://www.willsworldonline.net/2013_08_01_archive.html
Monday, 19 August 2013. So it's been another 8 months since my last post! I've not been very good at this have I? Well, here's to yet another new start now that summer is nearly over and the nights begin to draw in. It's been a great summer though hasn't it? Last year it was the glow of the Olympics which surprised us, this year it's been the warmth of the sun which has gladdened our hearts and put a collective smile on our face. The week was wonderful for many reasons though - not least for the glory of...

Tuesday, 11 December 2012. Came across a series of posts from Adrian Reynolds on "The Proclaimation Trust" - blog which are particularly appropriate for me at the moment - I thought I'd share them with you. Ministry and suffering (1): Self pity. Mon, 2012-12-10 07:03 — Adrian Reynolds. His week I'm putting up five posts on ministry and suffering. A wise elder once told me that "ministry. It may be personal and spiritual - struggle with a particular sin, for example. How are we helping people? We are thos...

Will's World: September 2012
http://www.willsworldonline.net/2012_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, 20 September 2012. It's been a while again. There's been so much going on in my own little world and in the world at large since I last wrote and I feel bad that I've missed loads of opportunity to comment! I, like everybody else, have loved the great summer of sport in the UK. How amazing has it been to see the country become proud of itself again as we managed to put on "the greatest show on earth" - and do it with a flourish! Made in Britain" Lord Coe said - and it made me proud. This summer...

Will's World: Road Trip
http://www.willsworldonline.net/2013/09/road-trip.html
Thursday, 5 September 2013. There's really only one "up" side to being as blind as a bat for me and that's my Disabled Travelcard! I get to travel free all over Merseyside - albeit on public transport which is about as reliable as a cheque in the post - but it is. And that's not all - I get to travel free on local bus services anywhere in England as well! There is a downside of course - you do also get to meet some strange folk among the great unwashed on the buses! Now they usually get away with it beca...

Wednesday, 12 December 2012. Ministry and suffering (3): Question 26. Wed, 2012-12-12 07:37 — Adrian Reynolds. Close friends and I often - rather mysteriously - say to one another (or text) - "Question 26" by which we mean Heidelberg:. What believest thou when thou sayest, "I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth"? For a God who is Almighty but not Father would be a terrible despot - unconcerned for our wellbeing and acting out of selfish motives alone. It is the glorious tension...

Thursday, 13 December 2012. Ministry and suffering (4). Thu, 2012-12-13 07:26 — Adrian Reynolds. Anyway. with "the important caveat that sometimes the most profound lessons defy neat explanations in words" here are the lessons he learnt:. God is infinitely sovereign and kind, even in the midst of difficulty when it doesn't seem like it. God is the only One who is control of my life and to desire control is, in effect, to desire to be God. It is a good thing to consider [one's own] death. Or of triumph an...
