November 2, 2013. Blake’s rare dizziness disorder has had doctors stumped, and so we went to Chicago to see a national specialist. The doctor was very impressed with how relatively high-functioning Blake has been (considering the test results). This was very encouraging and points us to the Lord’s sufficient grace (2 Cor 12:9). We were encouraged to put the fish on our refrigerator as a reminder to “just keep swimming” when the journey seems to come to discouraging halt or insurmountable obstacle. Our Adoption Story
Friday, May 25, 2012. To begin this blog, I'd like to welcome you. Welcome to the story of our family as we begin the process of adoption. This is an exciting time for Blake and me (and Reese- she just doesn't know it yet), and we are equally excited to share this journey with you. So, the idea was nothing new to either of us, and we were excited to one day adopt children of our own. Has been teaching us about our own adoption story through His Word and through books like Russel Moore's, Adopted For Life.
