Updating progress on the layout, I have dismantled the old layout and retained much of the benchwork for the reconfiguration. The second bench is an 8 x 2 foot open framework L-girder bench which forms the opposite side of the layout. Modelling Burlington Northern and Santa Fe in HO. Layout Design – version 3.0. January 12, 2011. Blandford Rail V3.0. This layout is based loosely on the Apple Valley track plan, with a few adjustments to provide for coal hauling traffic, enlarging to fit a 10′ x 8′ area and incorporating a centre operating well. DCC Decoder: Digitrax DH-165-ko (on it’s way, yet to be fitted). This loco runs well and is now waiting for weathering.
