Una vez pasado el puente sobre el río Támega se llega a la Casa do Asistente (justo en el desvío hacia Mixós), frente a la que se encuentra la capilla de San Lázaro, y al lado de esta la calle Da Costa, por la que se accede a la fortaleza.
