ChemicalBiLOLogy: March 2010
http://chemicalbilology.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Filed under: Ways I don't ever want to have to improvise again. OMFG I FORGOT THE %$%#@& DROP-INS LINERS AT HOME! 90 miles away. With no time to even rush to a freaking Walgreens. Let's just say the emergency improvisation involved blotting bags, a heat sealer and some lab tape. A friend dubbed me the McGuyver of moms, and indeed perhaps someday I will be worthy of this title. I totally shudder to think of what will happen if I ever forget the whole pump at home:. Man, this guy.

Professor Chaos: July 2009
http://profssrchaos.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Musings on life, science, and life as a scientist. Friday, July 10, 2009. Well, I cleaned my office the other day and while I cannot say I'm joyous, I do feel less like a giant rock is sitting on my soul every time I sit at my computer! Thanks to everyone for encouraging to just take the time and do it. Of course, after the cleaning, the grant writing flurry hit high speed and now I need to buy a can of grant-be-gone. Part of my funk this summer is that while I'm not mole-whacking. You mean I could spend...

Well, i'm on the road again (the life of a vagrant ecologist) and like clockwork one of the meme things is passing around. I've been watching it pass through the circle of blogs I read like a nasty cold and I thought perhaps I had escaped this one since I've been out of contact, but no.thank you, Dr Dr A. The other night (no, Isis. Here are the rules:. Link to the person who tagged you. 3) Art mu...

Professor Chaos: April 2010
http://profssrchaos.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Musings on life, science, and life as a scientist. Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Why Professor Chaos is the new Domestic and Laboratory Goddess. Except that I don't really work in a lab in the traditional sense and I'm not very domestic. And I spend more time writing papers and analyzing data these days than actually collecting it.Perhaps I'm more like the Goddess of Paper Writing and Not Burning My House Down. I am now an Associate Professor. And, uh, the much loathed third reviewer. I currently have more pap...

Musings on life, science, and life as a scientist. Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Flight of the iPhone. It took me several days before I realized I had such nice comments on my last post! Why, you might wonder? Afterall, one of my last posts (I won't call it 'recent') extolled the virtues of my iPhone. Why did my iPhone not alert me to the presence of my happy readers stopping by, you might wonder? The story goes like this:. Phase 1: Shock. As in, did that really just happen? Apple is more than happy to put ...

Musings on life, science, and life as a scientist. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. A while back, FSP. Like the Indigo Girls, I strive to produce high quality product on my own terms. If that's ruining one's career, well, it works for me. In fact, perhaps I should work a little harder at ruining my career. I'm sure there must be at least one rule I still haven't violated! Links to this post. Friday, October 23, 2009. My own personal assistant. I've been getting a great deal of amusement out of the coverage.

Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Nobody really knows what it means.

Who am I?: Forms, forms, forms

On the neverending quest to find the meaning of life, by an European postdoctoral researcher in Japan. Saturday, 21 November 2009. Forms, forms, forms. Sorry for posting this out late, I had a delay of writing the draft to pushing it up on the blog. I find that life's always busy the months before Christmas! Forms, forms, forms. I hope that after the first month it will be over. I have now learned to accept this, it is not so much different from Eastern Europe where I come from. With practice...Officers ...
