melodic ramblings: June 2006
http://nnaydolem.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 30, 2006. Since I posted the last blog I have been thinking about how to start with the mission trip saga. I guess it would be appropriate to start at the beginning. He he. On June 9, fifty-six high school students and ten sponsors headed down to Bay St. Louis, MS. Which is one of the towns that the eye of Katrina hit directly. So off we went, driving, yep driving with a 59-passenger bus and a 15-passanger van. So after being in close quarters for 30-hours we arrived in. You that never have ...

Monday, January 30, 2006. There is a book by Gary Chapman entitled The Five Love Languages. I got this from his website. A love language is the way we express our devotion and commitment, and it can be learned or changed to touch the hearts of our friends, partners or anyone. Whether you’re a spouse, a parent, or a single, the five love languages are the same:. 1 Words of Affirmation. 4 Acts of Service. I think they are pretty self-explanatory, however, I’ll breeze through them. Look at yourself and thin...

melodic ramblings: August 2005
http://nnaydolem.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 18, 2005. I am not the type of person that believes in happenstance. I believe that God puts things or people in our lives and there is a reason for it. Timing is a big issue. Say, you met someone at a certain place and time. Well, what if you were to have met that person earlier or later? You might have a totally different type of friend or would you even be friends? This is a rule I live by. Posted by mel at 8:41 AM. Friday, August 12, 2005. Well kids it is Friday! Denver, Colorado....

melodic ramblings: December 2005
http://nnaydolem.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 13, 2005. I thought I would actually do my blog on the day that I have planned for it and that would be today. I had a GREAT and long overdue conversation with a dear friend from college. We talked for a good hour and a half. I find it interesting that, friends you have had for years though you haven’t spoken in a long time, it is just like you talked to them yesterday. By John and Staci Eldredge. Captivating. Can there be any doubt that God wants to be sought after? Ifyou’re spending a...

Tuesday, February 21, 2006. I am a slacker. How so you ask? Let me tell you, I haven’t been exercising. I know I hate it. I have been so concerned with ‘wearing myself out’ I am trying to ‘take it easy’ and not get sick before Ireland, which is a WEEK from today! SoI am a slacker. I have gained about 5 lbs in the last couple of months! Vader] so when I get back from Ireland and over jet lag of course. I am getting back on the stick. I actually MISS running! I know it is shocking. Posted by mel at 1:09 PM.

melodic ramblings: April 2006
http://nnaydolem.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 13, 2006. Spring has got to be my favorite time of year. I am sitting here and looking out at the blooming tree that are just so symbolic of what spring is. New life. It is a time of renewing. It is time to remember those things in life that give us life. To remember your new year’s resolution to loose weight and get your butt in gear. Spring most of is a sense of Hope. Hope in things to come. Hope in promises. Hope in Christ’s blessings. Yes I always go back to that. Darn it! The Chastai...

melodic ramblings: March 2006
http://nnaydolem.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 28, 2006. It is Tuesday and I have been behind on the blogging so here it goes. It is interesting in a half hour or so I have to give a devotion at our staff meeting. Which strikes me as funny. It is funnymy roommate and I had a great conversation the other day about what it is to really be a Christian. Which both of us are. Is it going to a place where everyone is happy shiny? Or it is being real with each other and sharing our struggles and realizing that none of us have it together?
