http://opencon.livejournal.com/2019.html
OpenCon 2011 - give us feedback! March 4th, 2011. If you were at OpenCon last year, I'd be really interested in hearing your thoughts! What shall we do differently? What shall we do with some extra money? How should we advertise? Er, is anyone using this LJ community? Also, here's a shiny new facebook event! 2011-03-07 12:44 pm (UTC). I read this LJ community! But I wasn't at last year's event, so I can't answer your questions. Powered by LiveJournal.com.

Secrecy - Maxine's Journal
http://emanix.livejournal.com/19531.html
Adventures of the Polka-Dotted One. June 10th, 2010. This is a little out of the blue, as it started as a forum post up until I realised I was proselytizing. Then I decided to put it here instead, since what else is a blog for? Now I've mentioned this topic before. And referenced this relevant post. But having bumped into the forum thread. About whether or not to be open about poly relationships on Modern Poly. An academic article I came across recently had this to say about secrecy in relationships:.

Defining My Terms: 3. Kink* (a.k.a. BDSM) - Maxine's Journal
http://emanix.livejournal.com/14300.html
Adventures of the Polka-Dotted One. Defining My Terms: 3. Kink* (a.k.a. BDSM). December 27th, 2009. Defining My Terms: 3. Kink* (a.k.a. BDSM). The third in my series defining some terms that are important to me - these articles are not so much about explaining what these things mean to everybody, but what they mean to me in particular. Since I find myself wanting to talk more about related things in my journal though, I think it's about time I laid the groundwork! Why do I love it? Should I be doing some...

The big, beautiful shiny rainbow of kink (A.K.A. there's no One True Way) - Maxine's Journal
http://emanix.livejournal.com/24585.html
Adventures of the Polka-Dotted One. The big, beautiful shiny rainbow of kink (A.K.A. there's no One True Way). April 25th, 2011. Copied essentially verbatim from a Fetlife conversation thread about service tops - this is not quite the essay Id been intending to write on this topic, but Ive had it on my mind for a while, so Im going to preserve the best attempt Ive made at it yet for posterity. Much musing about kink, logic, diversity, and all of the gorgeous colours of the rainbow. Leader or follower (i&...

Butterfly - Maxine's Journal
http://emanix.livejournal.com/4429.html
Adventures of the Polka-Dotted One. May 1st, 2009. Roughly three years ago now, I began an anonymous online journal*, intending to write about my experiences entering into polyamory as a lifestyle (having known I wasnt happy with monogamy for a long time before that, but being derailed by partners, attitudes and random events that meant I was accidentally monogamous for a long time). It didnt turn out to be quite what I intended. Which crystallised some of the arguments I had actually made way back in ea...

Defining my Terms 2: Polyamory - Maxine's Journal
http://emanix.livejournal.com/9670.html
Adventures of the Polka-Dotted One. Defining my Terms 2: Polyamory. August 26th, 2009. I've been meaning to post this for ages, and I've finally guilt tripped myself into it, having already announced that I'm organising Polyday. This year (I'm sure I'll go into the story behind that at some point), without actually defining what poly means for me. This will no doubt be the first of many rambles, as poly is a large part of my life, and of what this blog is about, but it's a start! For me, being 'poly' is ...

SAMOTURE - or This is What an Activist Looks Like - Maxine's Journal
http://emanix.livejournal.com/12234.html
Adventures of the Polka-Dotted One. SAMOTURE - or This is What an Activist Looks Like. October 1st, 2009. I'd love for everyone to read this and answer me a couple of questions afterwards:. What are your stereotypes, when you think of what an activist looks like? It's a wonderful thought, isn't it? Sadly, they don't exist. There's that mythical 'they' popping up again. We all have to work for a living, and nobody's offering to pay us to take on any of these causes. Nor is anyone offering to help - th...
