Sunday, June 28, 2015. Friends, Family and a Wedding. The bad thing about not regularly blogging is never knowing what to write. I mean, there are probably 5940933 things to catch you up on, where to begin? Well, last post I told you about the first weekend in June, so here is the weekend after that! Another great one in the books! A few things are worth mentioning before the weekend got started, though! Monday, June 8th - Dinner at Panera with these girls! And look how cute! I've been calling this girl ...

Little Mrs. Married: Our Journey to Parenthood {an infertility story}
http://www.littlemrsmarried.com/2015/04/our-journey-to-parenthood-infertility.html
Sunday, April 19, 2015. Our Journey to Parenthood {an infertility story}. April 19th through 25th is National Infertility Awareness Week. Last year, I told my infertility story. As a guest blogger, but I recently realized that I never shared that story here! And it stayed at four for many, many years. I remember when my sister started getting babysitting jobs and i was so jealous. Mom kept telling me, "your time will come" and it sure did! He ran a bunch of tests, and everything came back normal. Me: Wel...

Little Mrs. Married: February 2015
http://www.littlemrsmarried.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 23, 2015. 2015 is the year, y'all. 2015 is THE YEAR. No, I don't think I'll be having a baby this year, unless one shows up on my doorstep.which i would TOTALLY be okay with, by the way. And you know, there is still a chance I could have a baby this year. But becoming pregnant this year? My second thought(s) was(were), "What will they say? What will they think? What if they don't understand? What if they think it's a dumb request? What if they think I should just relax? How do you trust ...

Little Mrs. Married: April 2015
http://www.littlemrsmarried.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 25, 2015. Kindness, Compassion, and Infertility. Today is the last day of National Infertility Awareness Week. I had hoped to write a post a day, or at least every other day, but that didn't happen! However, here is one more. I know a lot of you would never say some of these, but considering they're still constantly being said, I thought it was worth sharing. So that was quite the long intro. Here we go. 2 - Avoid certain phrases (see examples). Infertility is a medical. You can relax fro...

Monday, March 23, 2015. I turned 37 on March 2. THIRTY-SEVEN. How can this be? I remember when i was a kid, and all my friend's parents were in their thirties. I remember thinking that was so old. Little Mrs. Married: November 2014
http://www.littlemrsmarried.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 27, 2014. Then after I miscarried, I still hoped that even if i didn't have a baby at Thanksgiving, maybe i would at least have one on the way. And i don't. I still don't. But i am so thankful this morning. And I'm thankful that I'm thankful. :). He knew back in 2003, when i looked into this little puppy's eyes and just HAD TO HAVE him, that I would one day face some tough times and need this little dog curled up next to me. Dog lovers, you understand, right? He knew I needed a support...

The Niemeyer Nest: May 2015

Thursday, May 21, 2015. First Day, Last Day: Kindergarten. First Day of Kindergarten! Last Day of Kindergarten. Kindergarten has gone by in the blink of an eye! It's so bittersweet. I can barely walk in the school this time of year without getting teary. Evie has learned so much this year! Kindergarten has been a BIG learning curve for us and I did not expect that after teaching first grade for many years. School has changed a lot. Evie learned to do most of what I taught my class of first graders. Mrs C...

Sunday, November 16, 2014. Weekend Wrap-up: Tea Party and Celebrating. We had a fantastic weekend! Not that exciting but still fantastic! I had such a fun Friday morning with Evie! After school, we all enjoyed some hot chocolate and banana bread - it was super cold and such a treat to spend the afternoon cuddled up together. We had a picnic for dinner and a movie. Both kids were up before 6! Evie was singing her repertoire of Annie songs and Henry was calling for his Daddy. We normally do not start o...

The Niemeyer Nest: July 2015
http://theniemeyernest.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 31, 2015. Evie swam in the county meet earlier this month! It was an experience for all of us. It was the best of the best swimmers after a long season of early practices and tough lessons - hundreds of kids showed up to swim. These swimmers were all six and under. Evie was ranked 20th in the county going into the meet for her age group which is pretty spectacular. Evie was about a second late jumping in for her freestyle and she rolled over too soon with her backstroke. That's okay thou...
