Friday, March 18, 2011. She is very artistic, and the difference between her drawings at the start of the year and now is phenomenal. And just last week she began to learn to sound out words. She spelled and wrote three words all by herself! I plan on spending the summer focusing on teaching her to read, while we aren't working on other subjects. And the really great part is, she LOVES to learn! Now, we still are not sure whether we'll homeschool. March 18, 2011 at 3:26 PM. That is quite impressive!

I've found another super yummy new recipe! 8 oz uncooked spaghetti (I used angel hair). 1 C loosely packed fresh basil leaves. 1/4 C lemon juice. 2 garlic cloves, peeled. 3 Tbsp. olive oil, divided. 1/2 tsp. salt. 1 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces. 3/4 lb. uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined. 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes. Wednesday, April 6, 2011. He provides everything I need. Yes, shortly before lunch the clouds parted and the sun came out! It was a wonderful sight. I quickly fed the kids lunch and bundled them up for a walk. I knew that the sun might not stick around for long, and I needed to soak up as much as possible! We walked about 2 miles, then did some raking (yes, there was still some snow on the ground) before going inside for naptime. Just another example of my God loving me! April 7, 2011 at 9:35 AM.

Not that I minded lounging around reading books and knitting, but the constant high alert for symptoms of infection or labor was mentally and emotionally exhausting.
