I Prayed For This: The Whole Truth and Nothing But the Truth
http://iprayedforthis.blogspot.com/2014/02/the-whole-truth-and-nothing-but-truth.html
I Prayed For This. Tuesday, February 11, 2014. The Whole Truth and Nothing But the Truth. This is a little disjointed and rambling. I'm sorry! It's where I am in my thought process right now. When I first started this blog I wanted to be honest about what being a family is like, whether the family looks like mine or not. But making that commitment is hard. Sometimes I don't want to be honest. I want to say "I prayed for this family. God gave me this family. Everything is perfect! Products but having your...

Sterup Pants: April 2012
http://steruppants.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 24, 2012. And so it goes. CFL's in all those light fixtures! Thermal drapes on those windows! I hope you brought your sweater, because we're keeping the heat under 65 this winter! Why do we do this? That is definitely a question Kyle asked me after hanging a load of clothes out to line-dry one 100-degree day last summer (Seriously, people, do you know how much energy that dryer uses? Turn that light off when you leave the room! She gardened and cooked from scratch and cut around the bad sp...

I Prayed For This: It's Day One of the Rest of Our Year
http://iprayedforthis.blogspot.com/2015/08/its-day-one-of-rest-of-our-year.html
I Prayed For This. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. It's Day One of the Rest of Our Year. There's a song I like by Matthew West called "Day One", and while it's totally unrelated to this blog post (well it could sort of be related, we ARE a starting over in a way) I decided to steal his title. This is about day one of the ret of our year. I t's day one of the rest of my life. It's day one of the best of my life. I'm marching on to the beat of a brand new drum. Yeah, here I come. The future has begun. That Was&...

I Prayed For This: November 2013
http://iprayedforthis.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
I Prayed For This. Sunday, November 17, 2013. What A Difference A Month Makes! I've had a lot of questions about our current adoption process so this seems like the easiest way to address them all. I've struggled with how much to share openly and decided that honesty is the best policy! There will always be parts of our children's stories that are private though. The original family has decided they aren't able to continue and he still needs a family. Are you still interested? See why I love him! Things ...

I Prayed For This: July 2013
http://iprayedforthis.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
I Prayed For This. Monday, July 22, 2013. Matthew 28:20 ". And surely I am with you. Always, to the very end of the age.”. Blessing if a child. Lessons learned from my child. Sunday, July 21, 2013. This Is My Prayer. We pray at various times throughout the day as a family, but primarily it's at mealtime and bedtime. For a while now TLO has enjoyed saying the "Amen! Thank You for cows! Really want my paci but mommy won't give it to me yet? Thank You for paci! Just tickled her toes? Thank You for toes!

I Prayed For This: Our New Adventure!
http://iprayedforthis.blogspot.com/2015/04/our-new-adventure.html
I Prayed For This. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. I've been sharing small pieces of our life through this blog for 3 years! My simple words and prayers from our life experience have been read over 13,000 times. My top 3 countries for viewers are US, Russia (that's interesting), and Germany. What has hanged in 3 years? Different than it was 3 years ago. But it's time to change things up! We could move to another country! That's right, our little family is preparing to move (albeit temporarily) to Deutschland!

I Prayed For This: May 2015
http://iprayedforthis.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
I Prayed For This. Monday, May 4, 2015. Have To or Get To. If you're like me your days might be full of all the "have to's" on a list. I have to: load the dishwasher, clean the kitchen, mop the floor, do loads and loads of laundry, pick up toys, etc. I have a mental list like this and I often catch myself saying "I'm so tired of having to pick up these toys" or "this laundry I HAVE to do never ends! Cook dinner and so much more. I get to. I GET to! What are YOUR "get to's"? Share with me in the comments!

I Prayed For This: Looking Like Your Father
http://iprayedforthis.blogspot.com/2015/03/looking-like-your-father.html
I Prayed For This. Monday, March 2, 2015. Looking Like Your Father. Has it really been a year since I blogged last? I've got some lost time to make up for! I have some adoption related posts in my head but there's a new theme coming as well.stay tuned! She can scrunch her nose up like me, make a duck face like me and smile like me. Yes, those are the tangible ways I can see her in me. You look just like your Father! Is there really any better compliment? Who or what do your children look like?
