She loved all things lovely and kept a beautiful home filled with treasured artistic creations both she and others made. My interest in art and sketching stems from her and my grandfather's amazing artistic abilities. I thought long about what. If we again ask the question: 'Why does God allow suffering to continue?

The European Central Bank is constructing its new premises on the former Großmarkthalle (wholesale market) site in Frankfurt am Main. We got to tour the construction site to see the work in progress. Since the two towers twist as they rise, this middle support beam system is crucial. Drawing a building that is under construction allowed me to learn how the building pieces come together.

A good German tour is three things: fascinatingly thorough, bitter cold, walking involved. The Bridge of Love Locks. Walking into the city from the bridge, the cathedral is impressive - the most visited site in Germany. Inside the Cathedral Gerhard Richter's stained glass window shimmers. Photographed here.
