Saturday, March 12, 2011. We dig New Zealand. And New Zealand seems to dig us right back. First - you send out the Kontiki torpedo out about a kilometer. Attached to the torpedo is a fishing line which then gets 25 baited hooks attached to it. Then, you wait.for about 45 mins.before reeling the Kontiki back in. And if you're lucky, you catch some fish :). We caught 7 snapper and 4 gurnard (which we then had for "tea" - or dinner). The Kontiki then comes back. Not a bad way to catch a fish or two :).
