Samtök blindra og sjónskertra á Íslandi. Í húsi Blindrafélagsins að Hamrahlíð 17 eru um 20 leiguíbúðir sem leigðar eru út til félagsmanna í langtímaleigu. Auk þess eru tvær gestaíbúðir og eitt gestaherbergi leigð út til skamms tíma í senn til félagsmanna og aðstandenda þeirra. Reglur um úthlutun leiguíbúða í eigu Blindrafélagsins og grundvöllur leiguverðs. 160;Reglurnar eru frá því í janúar 2002. 160; Það er stefna Blindrafélagsins að þær íbúðir sem félagið á og rekur, standi undir sér í leiguverði.

Blindrafélagið hefur í gegnum árin notið mikils velvilja og fjárhagslegs stuðnings bæði einstaklinga og fyrirtækja og er ekki síst því að þakka hvað félagið hefur staðið fyrir öflugri starfsemi.
