The Objective Fox: The Fraser Coast
http://dmpinko.blogspot.com/2012/07/fraser-coast.html
Monday, July 09, 2012. Emily and I headed south from Agnes Water and stopped in for tea at a little cafe in Rosedale. Later, we took a dip at Moore Park Beach, just north of Bundaberg. The surf was pretty calm here. Later we took some lunch in town and continued heading south. There were a few vehicles travelling along the beach here. (It's okay to drive on the sand in parts of the Fraser coast.) However, you must be aware of the tides! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a chemist from central west...

The Objective Fox: January 2012
http://dmpinko.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 09, 2012. My return to Australia for a second back-to-back summer. In mid-October, I arrived back in Sydney and some great mates joined me for a few celebratory drinks. Here we are at the Scary Canary. We based ourselves here and then had a super-touristy long weekend in Sydney that included a monorail ride, a trip to Manly on the ferry, shoe shopping and delicious cocktails. Back in Cowra, I found that Puss was doing very well! In November, the Pinkerton men headed to Tathra for a week o...

The Objective Fox: Snorkelling around Lady Musgrave Island
http://dmpinko.blogspot.com/2012/07/snorkelling-around-lady-musgrave-island.html
Thursday, July 05, 2012. Snorkelling around Lady Musgrave Island. Here's a few different types of coral that Em and I swam by in the southern section of the Great Barrier Reef, near Lady Musgrave Island. A nice bloke called Allan took a photo of Emily and I with my old-school camera (which was taking on water). And here we are next to the boat between dives and probably talking about the lack of clownfish. Alan snapped this guy but somehow we missed him. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a Fish.

Louis' Travels: June 2007
http://louis-travel.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
I'm off backpacking around the world for a year. First stop South America, Europe then Africa! Thursday, 28 June 2007. On Monday after all festivities of Inti Raymi, I decided to see some of the sites in Cusco itself. I spent the morning walking around the historical centre of San Blas which had many nice little cafes. It was interesting to see many of the buildings had the first metre or two of the walls still the original Inca masonary work, with the top of the buildings being rebuilt. Further around f...

I'm off backpacking around the world for a year. First stop South America, Europe then Africa! Sunday, 27 May 2007. I´ve just had a fantastic week in Rio. Many thanks to Maria and her family for giving me a bed, feeding me and showing me all the sights all week. On Tuesday we drove further south along to coast to some nice isolated beaches, and then enjoyed the rest of the day at the local beach of Recreio. In the evening we headed for a little bar on the beach for some karaoke. Afterwards I took a drive...

Louis' Travels: Luxembourg
http://louis-travel.blogspot.com/2007/10/luxembourg.html
I'm off backpacking around the world for a year. First stop South America, Europe then Africa! Wednesday, 10 October 2007. On Sunday I got the train from Trier to Wasserbillig, right on the border, and then the bus over to Echternach. This was a lovely town with a lively market going on in the centre and a great river through town (the german border) which was perfect for a walk along. I met Kevin in the afternoon and went with his family for dinner at a restaurant in Beaufort. Canberra, ACT, Australia.

I'm off backpacking around the world for a year. First stop South America, Europe then Africa! Saturday, 6 October 2007. On Friday I wanted to leave Hiedelberg for Trier. Most of the trains werent operating due to a train driver strike, but lukily the 2 trains I needed were going, although they were packed full with drunk old german men singing and dancing trying to pick up old german ladies.
